How does sick leave work?

We do our best to keep this updated as the rules change. Please cross-check with the relevant authority for the very latest details.

Sick leave accrues at 2 days per month for the first 12 months, then 4 days per month — capped at 120 days. Paid sick leave (sickness allowance) requires a medical certificate and is paid at 4/5 of the usual wage. Employers cannot terminate during paid sick leave.
