Terms of Service

By creating an account or using helperdocs.com (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

The Platform is operated by HelperDoc Limited, a licensed Hong Kong employment agency ("HelperDoc", "we", "us"). Our role is to facilitate introductions, contract preparation, and ongoing communication between helpers, employers, and agencies. We are not a party to the employment contract itself.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract.

Helpers must be legally eligible to work as a foreign domestic helper in their target jurisdiction.

Employers must be at least 18 and have a household in a jurisdiction where employing a foreign domestic helper is lawful.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

Provide accurate, current, complete information. False, misleading, or fraudulent information may result in suspension and forfeiture of any subscription fees.

One account per person. Sharing accounts violates these Terms.

Employer subscriptions unlock helper contact details, full profiles, and hire-confirmation tools. Plans, prices, and renewal dates are shown on the pricing page and on your dashboard.

Subscriptions auto-renew only when you opt in. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Payment is processed by Stripe or via FPS bank transfer. Refund policy: pro-rated refunds are available within 7 days of the first paid period if no helper contact details have been viewed.

Helpers may publish profiles and apply to job postings free of charge.

Document verification and reference-letter checking are conducted on a best-effort basis. Helpers are responsible for the accuracy of submitted information.

Helpers may withdraw their profile at any time; archived profiles are no longer searchable but past messages and applications are retained per the Privacy Policy.

No harassment, discrimination, or illegal content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this clause without refund.

No scraping, automated data extraction, or reverse engineering of the Platform.

No off-Platform circumvention to avoid subscription fees during an active conversation thread.

You retain ownership of content you submit (profile fields, photos, messages). You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Platform.

Profile photos and videos may be displayed to employers and agencies according to your privacy settings. Removing a photo deletes it from the active surface within 24 hours; backup copies are retained for the period stated in our Privacy Policy.

We do not guarantee that any helper will be hired, or that any employer will offer a contract. Outcomes depend on factors outside our control.

The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Hong Kong law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data, except where prohibited by law.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or as required by law. Any unused paid period will be refunded pro-rata unless the termination is due to your breach.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Hong Kong.
